AeroVironment (AVAV) Misses Q1 EPS by 15c

AeroVironment (NASDAQ: AVAV) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.30), $0.15 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.15). Revenue for the quarter came in at $47.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $53.92 million.

As of August 1, 2015, funded backlog (unfilled firm orders for which funding is currently appropriated to us under a customer contract) was $89.0 million compared to $64.7 million as of April 30, 2015.

AeroVironment sees FY2016 revenue of $260-280 million, versus the consensus of $269.4 million.
