The Habit Restaurants (NASDAQ: HABT) reported Q2 EPS of $0.09, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.06. Revenue for the quarter came in at $56.7 million versus the consensus estimate of $55.92 million.
"We are very pleased with our comparable sales growth during the quarter, not only in terms of the strength of the increase, but also its consistency, as it marked our 46th consecutive quarter of growth. We believe this is due to our ability to provide an exceptional guest experience at a great value," said Russ Bendel, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Habit Restaurants, Inc. "We opened four new Habit Burger Grills during the second quarter, including our first location in Florida which is our fifth state of operation. We believe there's an opportunity for substantial development in both new and existing markets, and we expect to double our restaurant base over the next four years."
