LivePerson (LPSN) Misses Q1 EPS by 8c; Guides for Q2 Loss, Trims FY15 Outlook

LivePerson (NASDAQ: LPSN) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.04), $0.08 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.04. Revenue for the quarter came in at $59.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $60.8 million.

LivePerson signed a total of 147 deals in the quarter, which includes the addition of 30 new customers. Revenue per enterprise and mid-market customer averaged $174,000 over the trailing twelve months ended in the first quarter of 2015, a 3% sequential increase as compared to the $168,000 calculated for the period ended in the fourth quarter of 2014. These figures are pro forma to exclude contributions from one large customer contract that ended.

LivePerson sees Q2 2015 EPS of ($0.14)-($0.12), versus the consensus of $0.06. LivePerson sees Q2 2015 revenue of $58.5-59.5 million, versus the consensus of $63.9 million.

LivePerson sees FY2015 EPS of ($0.29)-($0.24), versus prior guidance of ($0.12)-($0.07) and the consensus of $0.28. LivePerson sees FY2015 revenue of $263-269 million, versus prior guidance of $243-247 million and the consensus of $264.4 million.
