Avalonbay Communities (NYSE: AVB) declared a quarterly dividend of $1.25 per share, or $5 annualized. This is a 7.8% increase from the prior dividend of $1.16.

The dividend will be payable on April 15, 2015, to stockholders of record on March 31, 2015, with an ex-dividend date of March 27, 2015.

The annual yield on the dividend is 2.8 percent.
