Cracker Barrel (CBRL) Tops Q1 EPS by 13c; Guides Q2 EPS Below Expectations

Cracker Barrel (NASDAQ: CBRL) reported Q1 EPS of $1.42, $0.13 better than the analyst estimate of $1.29. Revenue for the quarter came in at $683.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $665.5 million.

Compared to the prior year first quarter, comparable store traffic increased 0.8%, comparable store restaurant sales increased 3.3% and comparable store retail sales increased 6.1%.

Cracker Barrel sees Q2 2015 EPS of $1.50 - $1.60, versus the consensus of $1.65.

Cracker Barrel sees FY2015 EPS of $5.95 - $6.10, versus the consensus of $6.02.
