Stellantis integrates solid-state battery into test vehicle

Stellantis (NYSE: STLA) and Factorial Inc. (NASDAQ: FAC) have integrated Factorial's solid-state battery technology into a Dodge Charger Daytona development vehicle and begun road testing to evaluate performance and safety under real-world conditions.

The integration represents the first automotive application of solid-state battery technology in North America, according to the companies. The battery pack uses a mechanical architecture designed by Stellantis to accommodate the solid-state cells.

In 2025, the companies demonstrated FEST solid-state battery cells with an energy density of 375 Wh/kg and charging capability from 15% to 90% in 18 minutes. The cells operated reliably in temperatures ranging from -30°C to
