Natural Gas Services Group acquires Flatrock Compression for $120 million

Natural Gas Services Group Inc. (NYSE: NGS) acquired Flatrock Compression Holdings for $120 million in cash and stock, the company announced. The transaction consists of $110 million in cash and $10 million in newly issued NGS common stock.

Flatrock operates rental compression services in the Permian Basin and Eagle Ford regions with a fleet of approximately 86,000 horsepower that is currently 95% utilized. The company, founded in 2001, specializes in large horsepower units and electric motor driven compression equipment.
