The analyst comments "Signs of Green Shoots But Execution Remains Key. Our view is that improved merchandising, alongside more effective marketing, should drive sequential improvement into 2H. Early indicators are constructive, including stronger younger customer acquisition and better full-price sell-through trends into 2Q. Jefferies analyst Corey Tarlowe raised the price target on J.Jill Inc. (NYSE: JILL) to $16.00 (from $14.00) while maintaining a Buy rating.

The analyst comments "JILL delivered a better-than-feared print with EPS ahead despite weak topline trends, as expense discipline partially offset tariff-driven GM pressure. While comps remained challenged at -8.7%, mgmt reiterated FY guidance and highlighted improved product evolution, new customer acquisition, and early insight to better Q2 reads. The transformation remains early, but we see potential. We raise our PT slightly."

J.Jill (NYSE: JILL) reported Q1 EPS of $0.45, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.42. Revenue for the quarter came in at $144.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $144.31 million.

The following outlook assumes an average 20% reciprocal tariff rate on applicable inventory received prior to February 28, 2026, an average 10% tariff rate on applicable inventory received after February 28, 2026 through the second quarter of Fiscal 2026, and an average 15% tariff rate thereafter. The Company’s outlook does not assume any tariff refund benefit given ongoing uncertainties related to the timing and ultimate amount of full reimbursement.
