Benchmark analyst Benjamin Klieve reiterated a Buy rating and $130.00 price target on Ingredion (NYSE: INGR).

The analyst commented, "A rumored bid for global ingredient peer Tate & Lyle is now official and accepted by the Tate & Lyle BoD, with little market response for INGR for a transformational deal that will increase its revenue and EBITDA by ~30% post close. The $5.0B acquisition is an all-cash deal that reflects a 60% premium to Tate & Lyle’s pre-leak valuation, resulting in a combined business that is more complementary than we expected. Ingredion announces $5 billion acquisition of Tate & Lyle

Ingredion Incorporated (NYSE: INGR) announced a recommended all-cash offer to acquire Tate & Lyle PLC for approximately £3.7 billion ($5.0 billion), based on exchange rates as of June 5, 2026. The transaction represents a 59% premium to Tate & Lyle's closing share price as of May 13, 2026.

Under the deal terms, Tate & Lyle shareholders will receive 595 pence per share. The acquisition will be implemented through a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement under UK law, though Ingredion reserves the right to structure it as a takeover offer.
