Huntington Ingalls wins $418M Navy contract

Investing.com - Huntington Ingalls (NYSE: HII) Industries Mission Technologies Corp. was awarded a $417.7 million contract by the U.S. Department of Defense on Monday to provide maintenance and repair services for Navy aircraft carrier and amphibious ship elevators.

The cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will support elevator support unit maintenance and repair work performed inside and outside the continental U.S. and at forward deployed locations. The work is expected to be completed by June 2031.

No funds will be obligated at the time of award and will be obligated on individual orders as they are issued. The

HII (NYSE: HII) announced the delivery of its first REMUS 130 unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) to an unidentified U.S. ally, according to a company press release dated June 16, 2026.

The REMUS 130 is described as the third generation of the REMUS 100 series and features a two-person-portable design, a maximum operating depth of 100 meters, and up to 10 hours of endurance. The vehicle includes field-swappable batteries and is built on the same technology platform as the REMUS 300 and REMUS 620 models.

The vehicle integrates HII's Odyssey Autonomous Control System, which the company says is currently deployed across REMUS platforms

Huntington Ingalls wins $44.1 million Navy contract modification

Investing.com - Huntington Ingalls Inc. (NYSE: HII) received a $44.1 million contract modification from the U.S. Department of War for work on the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier refueling overhaul.

The cost-plus-incentive-fee modification to contract N00024-21-C-2106 covers supplemental work for the CVN 74 Refueling Complex Overhaul and includes a special incentive for schedule performance. The work will be performed at the company's Newport News Shipbuilding facility in Newport News, Virginia.

The Navy expects the work to be completed by October 2026. The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C., serves as the contracting activity for the project.
