Gelteq launches vet and human trials, secures $3.5M financing

Gelteq Limited (NASDAQ: GELS), a Melbourne-based biotechnology company, issued a corporate update outlining clinical, commercial, and financial developments across its gel-based drug delivery platform during the first half of 2026.

The company commenced its first veterinary clinical trial, evaluating an antiparasitic drug candidate, with results expected in July 2026 and a planned FDA application targeted for later in the year. Separately, Gelteq said planning for its first human clinical trial has been completed, with the trial expected to begin in the quarter starting July 1, 2026.
