Investing.com -- The European Central Bank raised its three key interest rates by 25 basis points on Thursday, citing inflation pressures from the war in the Middle East.

The interest rates on the deposit facility, main refinancing operations and marginal lending facility will increase to 2.25%, 2.40% and 2.65% respectively, effective June 17, 2026.

The Governing Council said the rate increase is designed to ensure inflation stabilizes at its 2% target in the medium term. The decision is robust across a range of scenarios for how the Middle East conflict might evolve and affect the euro area's medium-term outlook.
