Barclays tracks May gaming revenue showing mixed state results

Investing.com - Barclays released its state gaming revenue tracker for May 2026, showing retail gross gaming revenue flat in New Jersey and down 1% year-over-year in Indiana, while online sports betting handle and revenue declined across most major operators.

New Jersey reported May gross gaming revenue flat year-over-year compared to 12% growth in April and 3% growth in March. Indiana posted a 1% year-over-year decline in May gross gaming revenue, following 5% growth in April and a 6% decline in March. Retail gross gaming revenue for states reported so far rose 2% year-over-year, or 1% on a same-store basis.

Flutter Entertainment to delist from London Stock Exchange in august

Flutter Entertainment plc (NYSE: FLUT; LSE: FLTR) announced its intention to delist from the London Stock Exchange effective 8:00 a.m. London time on August 3, 2026.

The company's shares will continue trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "FLUT" following the delisting. Once the London delisting takes effect, Flutter's ordinary shares will only be listed on the NYSE.

Flutter said it conducted a review of its listing structures that began in May 2026. The company considered trading activity levels on the LSE, along with additional costs and regulatory obligations associated with maintaining the London listing.

Investing.com -- Bank of America analysts said the boundaries between sports betting, speculation, cryptocurrency, and financial markets are becoming less distinct, which could create long-term growth opportunities for sports betting operators.

The bank said it expects perpetual futures and increased gamification on prediction markets and sportsbooks to be the next areas of innovation in the sector.

Perpetual futures, or perps, are derivatives contracts that allow traders to speculate on an asset's price without owning the underlying asset. These contracts do not have an expiration date and positions can be held indefinitely. Perps generate over $90 trillion in annual global volume.
