Socket Mobile names David Holmes as new CEO
Socket Mobile, Inc. (NASDAQ: SCKT) appointed David A. Holmes as President and Chief Executive Officer on June 12, 2026, according to a company press release. Holmes succeeds Kevin Mills, who held the CEO role from March 2000 until June 12, 2026.
Holmes joined Socket Mobile in May 2021 as Chief Business Officer, where he oversaw worldwide business development and marketing. He has more than 20 years of experience in the Near-Field Communications (NFC) and mobile payments industry. Before joining Socket Mobile, he held leadership positions at NXP and Identive Group, and most recently worked in UL Solutions' Cybersecurity division, where he managed Global Strategic Accounts and North America Sales.
Charlie Bass, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: "Dave has played an important role in the Company's business development efforts and strategic initiatives over the past five years. The Board believes Dave's industry experience, customer relationships, and leadership capabilities make him well positioned to lead Socket Mobile as we continue to focus on growth, operational execution, and creating value for our stockholders."
