Quoin Pharmaceuticals reports 4 of 6 patients improved in NS compassionate use trial
Quoin Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (NASDAQ: QNRX) reported that four of six pediatric patients enrolled in its Netherton Syndrome (NS) compassionate use program showed improvement from baseline across key clinical endpoints, according to a press release dated June 16, 2026.
All six patients are under 10 years of age, with the youngest being six months old. Treatment duration ranges from three weeks to 15 months. No treatment-related adverse events have been reported for any of the six patients.
Three of the four responding patients achieved at least a one-grade improvement on the Investigator's Global Assessment (IGA) scale of 0 to 4. One patient improved from a score of 4 (severe) to 0 (clear) at nine months and remained clear at 15 months. Two of those three responders achieved at least a four-grade improvement in pruritus scores, with one patient's pruritus fully eliminated.
The youngest responding patient, six months old and treated for three weeks with QRX003, had previously required emollient application every two hours. After three weeks of treatment, parents reported using almost no emollient on treated body areas. The infant's neutrophil levels, which had been low prior to treatment, returned to normal levels after three weeks.
Two patients have not shown improvement to date; one of those has been on treatment for fewer than eight weeks and remains enrolled. One additional patient entered the program on June 15, with two more scheduled to begin treatment by the end of September.
Quoin stated it plans a comprehensive data release from this program and its ongoing Phase 2 studies in the coming months.
