June 16, 2026 8:17 AM

Syntec Optics Holdings (NASDAQ: OPTX) announced it received nearly $2.4 million in new purchase orders for its space optics product line, according to a company press release dated June 16, 2026.

The new order expands a previously announced $1.9 million order from the first quarter of 2026, bringing total recent awards for the product line to nearly $4.3 million. The company said full delivery is expected before the middle of next quarter.

The orders are intended to support weekly launches of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. The product line was scaled for higher production in Q1 2026.

Matt Carey, VP of Business Development and Delivery, commented on the market outlook: "The future of space optics is poised to grow at an accelerated pace with the evolution of orbital AI data centers. As these platforms begin handling massive data workloads right in orbit—relying on laser networks for high-speed syncing, solar arrays for power, and the vacuum of space for cooling—the need for ultra-precise optical infrastructure can accelerate."

CFO Dean Rudy stated: "With nearly 20,000 of our ultra-precise optics orbiting the Earth, we are proud to support America's leadership in space innovation."

The Rochester, New York-based company manufactures precision optics used in LEO satellite communications, enabling laser-based data transfers between satellites.
