FreightCar America, Inc. (NASDAQ: RAIL) has appointed Bradley J. Pickard to its Board of Directors, effective June 10, 2026, according to a company statement.

Pickard will serve as an independent director, bringing the total board count to nine members, six of whom are independent.

Pickard is a Managing Director at Republic Partners, LLC, a position he has held since 2014. He has more than three decades of investment banking experience, with prior leadership roles at Salomon Brothers, Wasserstein Perella, and Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin. His background includes transaction and advisory work in rail, trucking, and logistics.

He has previously served on the boards of First Mercury Financial and Schurman Retail Group/Papyrus. Pickard holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.

James R. Meyer, Chairman of the Board, said Pickard's "more than three decades of corporate finance, capital markets and strategic advisory experience will bring a valuable perspective" to the company.
