INFOSYS signs long-term IT modernization deal with Valmet

Infosys (NYSE: INFY) announced a long-term collaboration with Valmet, a Finland-based process industry technology company, to modernize Valmet's core IT services and deliver end-to-end IT transformation, according to a press release dated June 16, 2026.

Under the agreement, Infosys will work to align Valmet's IT operations with the company's business objectives, reduce operational costs, and optimize existing resources. The engagement is intended to support Valmet's internal initiative referred to as its "Lead the Way" strategy.

Infosys will deploy two of its platforms as part of the engagement: Infosys Topaz Fabric, an agentic services suite designed to embed intelligence across IT operations, and Infosys Cobalt, a set of cloud services and platforms aimed at building scalable cloud infrastructure.

Arto Huuskonen, VP of IT Transformation at Valmet, said the collaboration is intended to help the company "accelerate our transformation journey and create a scalable IT operation model that supports our evolving business needs."

Jasmeet Singh, EVP and Global Head of Manufacturing at Infosys, said the partnership aims to "accelerate innovation, enhance operational agility, and create sustained, scalable impact that aligns with Valmet's long-term strategic vision."

Valmet reported net sales of approximately €5.2 billion in 2025. The company employs around 18,500 people across approximately 40 countries, with its head office in Espoo, Finland. Valmet's shares are listed on Nasdaq Helsinki.

Infosys, headquartered in Bengaluru, India, is listed on the NSE, BSE, and NYSE under the ticker INFY. The company employs more than 325,000 people and operates in 63 countries.
