June 16, 2026 3:54 AM

Teledyne FLIR Defense, a unit of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY), announced the launch of three upgraded vision systems for military vehicles at the Eurosatory defense exhibition in Paris.

The new products are the ThermoVision Situational Awareness HD (SA90-HD), the ThermoVision Driver Vision HD (DV55-HD), and the MilSight LIRC III Compact Vehicle-Mounted Weapon Sight. According to the company, the systems are designed for both manned and unmanned military vehicles and can be combined to provide up to 360-degree field-of-view coverage on a single vehicle.

The SA90-HD is intended for mounting around a vehicle to provide situational awareness through fog, smoke, and low-light conditions. The DV55-HD is a forward-facing camera designed for driving and maneuvering. Both systems use dual 1280p electro-optical and infrared sensors that blend thermal and color imaging. The MilSight LIRC III is a vehicle-mounted thermal imager integrated with a gunner's sight, targeting armored vehicles and long-range acquisition applications.

All three systems feature a single cable setup and lightweight form factor. They are manufactured at Teledyne FLIR Defense facilities in Täby, Sweden, and are available for customer orders.

"As battlefield hazards evolve, visibility in complex environments is critical to warfighter safety and success," said Nicklas Friberg, Vice President of Surveillance Systems at Teledyne FLIR Defense.

The company states it has deployed more than 3,500 vehicle vision systems across nearly 20 countries.
