June 15, 2026 9:27 AM

E-Power Inc. (NASDAQ: EPOW) announced that its subsidiary, Sunrise (Guizhou) New Energy Materials Co., Ltd., received a RMB 3 million government grant from the Guizhou Provincial Big Data Development Administration. The funding, equivalent to approximately $411,000, will support the company's lithium battery anode material manufacturing platform project.

The grant will fund the "Lithium Battery Anode Material Intelligent Manufacturing Data Governance and Application Project," which aims to integrate data systems across the lithium battery anode material production chain. The platform will incorporate artificial intelligence of things (AIoT), big data analytics, and cloud computing technologies.

Key components of the project include blockchain technology for material traceability, standardization of data systems to eliminate information silos, and automated data collection with predictive analytics capabilities. The platform is designed to serve both E-Power's operations and other industry participants.

E-Power operates through a joint venture that manufactures graphite anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The company's facility has a production capacity of 50,000 tons and uses renewable electricity sources.

"Securing this specialized grant from the Guizhou Provincial Big Data Development Administration is a strong endorsement of our digital strategy," said Haiping Hu, Chairman of E-Power Inc. He noted that the company has been involved in the graphite anode industry since 1999.

The project connects E-Power's battery materials business with its AI data center microgrid solutions. The company stated the platform will help manufacturing operations improve efficiency and product quality while supporting the industry's digital transformation efforts.
