Markel Canada names two executives to construction services team
Markel International, the insurance operations within Markel Group Inc. (NYSE: MKL), appointed Alisha Everett as Assistant Vice President for Contractors, Trades and Construction Services and Nicholas Doy as Manager within the CTCS team.
Everett will lead Markel's CTCS strategy across Canada, overseeing underwriting execution and growth within the contractors and trades segment. She will work with national underwriting and distribution teams to strengthen market engagement and refine risk appetite.
Doy joins as Manager, supporting underwriting performance, portfolio development, and broker engagement across key Canadian regions. His appointment aims to strengthen Markel's ability to deliver specialist underwriting solutions for contractors and trades clients.
The appointments reflect Markel Canada's investment in its contractors and trades capabilities, focusing on disciplined underwriting, strategic growth, and strengthening broker relationships across the Canadian construction market.

Both executives will be based in Markel's Toronto office. The appointments are effective immediately, according to the company's announcement.
