SailPoint announces intent to acquire Entro to expand identity security
SailPoint Inc. (NASDAQ: SAIL) announced its intent to acquire Tel Aviv-based Entro, a company specializing in non-human identity and credentials security. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of fiscal year 2027, subject to customary closing conditions.
Entro focuses on discovering and protecting credentials and non-human identities in cloud environments. The acquisition aims to integrate Entro's technology with SailPoint's recently launched Agentic Fabric platform, which addresses security for autonomous AI agents and machine identities.
The integration will add several technical capabilities to SailPoint's platform. Entro provides coverage for more than 1,000 non-human identity types and discovery of over 1,200 credential types across 70 enterprise sources, including cloud environments, developer tools, and CI/CD pipelines. The technology also maps relationships between non-human identities and their human owners for accountability purposes.
"The recent launch of our Agentic Fabric established a new paradigm for securing autonomous AI agents and non-human identities at scale," said Mark McClain, CEO and Founder of SailPoint. "By bringing Entro's powerful and complimentary technology into our SailPoint platform, we will be giving our customers an even bigger advantage."
Itzik Alvas, Co-Founder and CEO of Entro, stated the company was "built with a clear mission: to secure the modern cloud by discovering and protecting the sheer volume of credentials and non-human identities powering it."
The acquisition addresses security challenges organizations face when deploying AI agents and automated systems. Entro's technology includes real-time monitoring capabilities for behavioral anomalies in AI agents and machine identities.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed in the announcement.
