Avincis, described as Europe's largest emergency aerial services operator, has signed a contract with Airbus Helicopters for up to 15 H145 helicopters, according to a company announcement.

The aircraft will be deployed across Avincis' network in the Nordic countries, Italy, and Spain for helicopter emergency medical services and offshore transportation missions.

"The H145 is the ideal platform for our mission-critical operations, providing the reliability and performance required to save lives and protect communities in the most challenging environments," said John Boag, CEO of Avincis Group.

Matthieu Louvot, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, stated that the agreement demonstrates the H145's versatility for both emergency medical services and offshore wind and energy transport operations.

Avincis operates a fleet of more than 220 aircraft and employs over 2,400 professionals. The company has bases in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Norway, Sweden, and Finland, with additional operations in Mozambique and Chile.

More than 1,800 H145 family helicopters are currently in service globally, accumulating over 8.5 million flight hours. The aircraft is powered by two Safran Arriel 2E engines and features digital engine control and avionics systems, including a 4-axis autopilot.

The information is based on a press release from the companies.
