Axsome Therapeutics presents sleep disorder data at SLEEP 2026 conference
Axsome Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: AXSM) announced the presentation of data on two of its sleep disorder treatments at the SLEEP 2026 conference, held June 14-17, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland.
The company presented three studies at the 40th annual meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies. The presentations included cognitive and functional outcomes from a Phase 3 trial of AXS-12 in narcolepsy with cataplexy, post-hoc analysis of solriamfetol trials for excessive daytime sleepiness, and findings on symptom burden in narcolepsy patients with residual cataplexy.
The first presentation, led by Dr. Bruce Corser from Intrepid Research, focused on results from the ENCORE trial examining AXS-12's effects on cognitive and functional outcomes in narcolepsy patients. The study was an open-label extension and randomized-withdrawal Phase 3 trial.
A second presentation analyzed solriamfetol's effectiveness for excessive daytime sleepiness in both narcolepsy and obstructive sleep apnea patients. The analysis examined data from Phase 3 trials using a multi-dimensional composite endpoint approach.
The third study presented findings from the CRESCENDO survey, examining symptom burden and quality of life in narcolepsy patients experiencing residual cataplexy symptoms despite treatment.
Axsome markets solriamfetol under the brand name SUNOSI for excessive daytime sleepiness associated with narcolepsy and obstructive sleep apnea. The company also has FDA-approved treatments for major depressive disorder, agitation associated with Alzheimer's disease dementia, and migraine.
