Ouster Inc. (NASDAQ: OUST) and Benchmark Electronics Inc. (NYSE: BHE) announced an expansion of their manufacturing partnership to support high-volume production of Ouster's Rev8 OS sensor family for industrial, robotics, automotive, and smart infrastructure applications.

The partnership builds on Benchmark's existing role as Ouster's strategic manufacturing partner. Benchmark will leverage its automated production capabilities to handle the Rev8 sensors' architecture and enable commercial volume production.

Ouster stated that its Rev8 family is designed for low-cost, high-volume production. The company claims manufacturing capacity exceeding 100,000 units per year and plans a 10-year production life for the Rev8 sensors.

Benchmark operates 20 facilities across eight countries, including locations in the United States and Europe. This network provides Ouster with manufacturing processes and multi-site production capabilities for potential future capacity expansion.
