NETGEAR launches Align AV platform controller with remote management
NETGEAR Inc. (NASDAQ: NTGR) announced the launch of NETGEAR Align, the company's first audiovisual platform designed to consolidate AV infrastructure services and host applications including its network management platform NETGEAR Engage.
The Align Controller serves as a hardware foundation that consolidates precision timing, core network services, and AV management in a single appliance. The device can connect directly to a switch using Power over Ethernet++ without requiring a dedicated power circuit, according to the company's press release.
The platform enables secure remote access for up to five concurrent users, allowing integrators to monitor system health and troubleshoot issues without being on-site. This addresses what NETGEAR describes as the most requested feature since Engage launched.
"The Align Controller marks a turning point in how we think about AV infrastructure," said Pramod Badjate, President and GM of NETGEAR Enterprise. "NETGEAR has spent the last decade earning its place as the switching foundation for AV-over-IP. Now we are building on that foundation to become a platform."
The controller is designed to support third-party applications running alongside NETGEAR's own applications. The platform aims to address challenges integrators face when assembling separate components for clocking hardware, network service appliances, and management platforms that were not designed to work together.
The NETGEAR Align Controller (GB406) will begin shipping in August 2026. The company will demonstrate the product at InfoComm booth N7011 from June 17-19.
NETGEAR, founded in 1996 and headquartered in San Jose, California, manufactures networking solutions for businesses, homes, and service providers.
