VAALCO Energy, Inc. (NYSE: EGY, LSE: EGY) announced completion of drilling operations at multiple locations across its offshore Gabon and onshore Egypt assets, according to a company statement.

The company completed the Ebouri-5H development well offshore Gabon, which encountered 300 meters of net pay in Gamba sands. The well achieved initial production rates exceeding 8,000 gross barrels of oil per day, with 4,700 barrels per day net to VAALCO.

VAALCO has mobilized its drilling rig to the SEENT platform to drill the ETBNM-3 development well, targeting gas and condensate resources in the Dentale D15 reservoir. The company stated that natural gas from a successful well would be used for operational purposes to reduce diesel transportation costs.

In Egypt, VAALCO completed the HE-9 development well, which encountered 26 meters of net pay in the Asl B reservoir. The well achieved initial production of 529 gross barrels of oil per day.

"We are very pleased with the continued positive results from our Gabon drilling campaign," said George Maxwell, Chief Executive Officer. "With the Baobab field successfully restarted and the continued successes in the Gabon and Egypt drilling campaigns, we have many positive achievements year to date."

VAALCO is a Houston-based independent energy company with operations across Gabon, Egypt, Côte d'Ivoire, and Equatorial Guinea. The information was provided in a company press release.
