IQM names Barbara Venneman to board ahead of planned Nasdaq listing
IQM Quantum Computers appointed Barbara Venneman to its board of directors as the quantum computing company prepares for its planned Nasdaq listing through a merger with Real Asset Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: RAAQ).
Venneman brings more than 30 years of experience in digital transformation and enterprise technology. She previously served as global head of Deloitte Digital and held senior leadership roles including global chief growth officer and global marketing, sales and service leader. She currently serves on the board of directors at Vanguard and as a board advisor at Decagon.AI.
The appointment comes as IQM expands its commercial operations globally. The Finland-based company builds superconducting quantum computers and operates a full-stack approach from chip design through cloud platforms.
"Barbara's track record of scaling global technology businesses and guiding enterprises through transformative change makes her an exceptional addition to our Board as we prepare to enter the public markets," said Sierk Poetting, chairman of IQM's board of directors.
IQM also announced that CEO and co-founder Jan Goetz will replace co-founder Juha Vartiainen as the founder representative on the board.
The company recently announced increased commitments to its PIPE funding ahead of the planned merger with Real Asset Acquisition Corp. The registration statement on Form F-4 for the business combination has been declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Finland with operations in Munich, IQM has more than 400 employees and operates across Europe, Asia and North America. The company provides quantum computers to research institutions, universities, high-performance computing centers and enterprises worldwide.
