Cushman & Wakefield (NYSE: CWK) advised Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) on securing a new 1 million-square-foot headquarters in Stockholm, marking the largest office transaction in Sweden's history and among the largest in Europe.

The communications and network solutions provider will relocate its headquarters from Stockholm's Kista district to Hagastaden, a major urban development area in the Swedish capital. The transaction involved signing six leases with two separate landlords.

The Cushman & Wakefield team was led by Gustaf Benndorf and Tom WadegÄrd in Sweden. Ericsson has been a client of the commercial real estate services firm for more than 20 years.

"This is the largest office relocation in Europe in recent years and the most significant urban campus development in the Nordics ever," said Karl Persson, Head of Sweden at Cushman & Wakefield.

Hagastaden's location provides proximity to four universities, including Karolinska Institutet, Karolinska University Hospital, and SciLifeLab, a molecular biology research center. The development represents a strategic move for Ericsson as one of Sweden's largest companies.

Cushman & Wakefield guided Ericsson through the process of identifying and assessing campus options before completing the complex negotiations. The firm reported revenue of $10.3 billion in 2025 across its core service lines and operates in nearly 60 countries with approximately 53,000 employees.
