June 12, 2026 5:48 AM

The XPENG X9 recorded the highest range performance and fastest charging time among 24 electric vehicles tested in the summer 2026 edition of El Prix, according to results from the Norwegian Automobile Federation and Motor magazine.

The seven-seater vehicle achieved an 11.4% positive deviation from its official WLTP range rating, covering 646 kilometers in real-world conditions during the test. The vehicle operated for more than 11 hours after the test began.

The X9 also completed the fastest charging performance, going from 10% to 80% battery capacity in 12 minutes and 55 seconds. In the winter 2026 El Prix test conducted in February at -10°C, the model achieved a 12-minute charge time.

"Recording the largest WLTP range deviation and the fastest charging time is strong validation of the technology behind the XPENG X9," said Alex Tang, General Manager of International Business at XPENG (NYSE: XPEV, HKEX: 9868).

El Prix is conducted twice annually by the Norwegian Automobile Federation and Motor magazine as an independent comparison of electric vehicle range and charging performance. The test results are followed by consumers, media and manufacturers across Europe.

The X9 is among new XPENG models launching in Europe during 2026, with Norway serving as the first market. The vehicle accommodates up to seven passengers and represents part of the company's expansion in European markets.

XPENG, founded in 2014 and headquartered in Guangzhou, China, designs and manufactures electric vehicles with advanced driver-assistance systems. The company operates facilities in Zhaoqing and Guangzhou and maintains offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Silicon Valley, and Amsterdam.
