FatPipe launches SATBoost software for satellite internet acceleration
FatPipe, Inc. (NASDAQ: FATN) announced the general availability of SATBoost, a software solution designed to enhance performance of satellite internet connections from Starlink, Viasat and Amazon LEO services.
The company claims SATBoost can increase data flow speeds by up to 300% over low Earth orbit satellite links through proprietary technology. The software works with FatPipe's existing multipath link aggregation and routing capabilities, allowing enterprises to combine multiple satellite connections with terrestrial and 5G networks.
SATBoost is currently deployed across several sectors including retail chains for point-of-sale systems, healthcare facilities in rural locations, and government offices requiring secure connectivity. The software addresses connectivity issues during adverse weather conditions when satellite reception typically degrades.
"As LEO satellite connectivity becomes widely available, the need to improve satellite performance is more important than ever," said Dr. Ragula Bhaskar, Chairman and CEO of FatPipe. "SATBoost's proprietary software increases satellite data throughput by up to 300% out of the box."
Key features include automatic failover to satellite connections when fiber or 5G networks fail, traffic steering to optimize data plan usage by prioritizing less expensive internet routes, and compatibility with existing FatPipe licenses for current customers.
The software is available through FatPipe and authorized partners. The Salt Lake City-based company develops software-defined wide area networking solutions and holds 13 U.S. patents related to multipath and software-defined networking technology. FatPipe products are distributed through more than 200 resellers globally.
