M&T Bank renews Florida Bar partnership for nota platform access
M&T Bank (NYSE: MTB) announced the renewal of its partnership with The Florida Bar to continue providing members free access to the M&T Bank Nota platform, a cloud-based solution for managing Interest on Trust Accounts.
The renewed agreement extends the collaboration that began in June 2023, when Nota was introduced as a member benefit to help attorneys navigate trust accounting complexities while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Since launch, over 900 Florida Bar members have utilized Nota as a member benefit, according to the press release. The platform has undergone enhancements based on user feedback, including improved reconciliation workflows, expanded integrations with legal and financial tools, and user experience improvements.
"This collaboration has been defined by steady progress and practical improvements that reflect how attorneys actually manage their work," said Sean McCabe, Director of Business Banking Products at M&T Bank. "As adoption has grown, so has the platform's ability to support more efficient, accurate trust account management."
Rosalyn Sia Baker-Barnes, President of The Florida Bar, stated that members seek practical solutions for managing complex responsibilities with greater ease and confidence, and Nota has become a valuable resource in that effort.
The platform addresses trust account management complexity by providing attorneys visibility into account activity while supporting reconciliation and financial workflows within a single platform. It aims to reduce reliance on manual processes for increased efficiency.
Recent platform enhancements include reduced manual steps in reconciliation workflows, expanded tool integrations, user experience improvements based on attorney feedback, and continued investment in compliance and audit readiness features.
Nota remains available to Florida Bar members through the organization's Member Benefits Program, with M&T Bank waiving the $25 monthly maintenance fee for active members.
