Digi International adds seven new features to Axess platform
Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) announced seven new features for its Digi Axess cloud-based infrastructure management platform. The updates include native remote access capabilities, cellular SIM management, and enhanced data visualization tools.
The company stated that three features are exclusive to Digi due to its ownership of hardware, cellular SIM, private network, and cloud components. The platform consolidates remote access, cellular SIM administration, threshold monitoring, analytics, and device troubleshooting into one system.
New features include Digi Axess VPN Link, which allows operators to access remote edge devices without separate OpenVPN client software. Integrated cellular SIM management provides centralized visibility of ICCID, IMEI, IP address, and account-level SIM details for Digi data plan customers.
The platform now offers non-Digi device visibility, enabling remote access to connected devices operating on Digi Axess VPN SIM without additional cloud subscriptions. Interactive multi-device graphing allows users to compare sensor readings across multiple devices and readings.
Additional features include threshold history analytics to track operational patterns, automation overview mapping to visualize relationships between inputs and outputs, and battery acknowledgement monitoring to reduce unnecessary maintenance dispatches.
"This release is the result of listening closely to our customers. Customers described their needs, and we delivered," said Jayson Ness, Product Manager at Digi International.
All seven features are available to Digi Axess customers. The platform works with Digi's industrial automation hardware portfolio, including the Digi Z45 Industrial Controller and Digi Connect Sensor XRT-M. The company targets organizations managing remote industrial infrastructure across utilities, manufacturing, oil and gas, transportation, and environmental monitoring sectors.
