Hippo Holdings promotes Laura Boettcher to chief operating officer

Hippo Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HIPO) announced the promotion of Laura Boettcher to Chief Operating Officer of the parent company. Boettcher, who holds an ARe designation, will oversee operations across the entire enterprise.



Boettcher has worked at Hippo for nearly five years and previously served as COO of Hippo Insurance since February 2024. Before that role, she held positions as Chief of Staff to the CEO and Director of Reinsurance at the company.



"Laura has been an invaluable part of Hippo's leadership team for nearly five years, and she has earned the trust of our executive council and board of directors," said Rick McCathron, President and CEO of Hippo Holdings.



Prior to joining Hippo, Boettcher worked as a Senior Vice President at Guy Carpenter, where she developed reinsurance strategies for personal lines clients, including Hippo. She brings nearly two decades of experience in insurance and reinsurance.



Earlier in her career, Boettcher served as Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Home Value Protection, a Kleiner Perkins-backed startup. At CompWest Insurance, she led business intelligence and strategic financial planning, generating over $1 million in cost savings according to the company.
