Chaince Digital board approves space-based AI infrastructure exploration
Chaince Digital Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: CD) announced its board of directors approved a strategic initiative to evaluate space-based computing infrastructure applications, according to a company statement.
The exploration focuses on four areas: space-based data center development, AI and high-performance computing infrastructure, ultra-low-temperature quantum cooling systems, and brain-computer interface technology for space exploration.
The initiative builds on the company's existing data center and computing infrastructure experience, including GPU liquid-cooling technology work. The company stated the space-related focus areas represent longer-term directions for study and evaluation.
The exploration remains non-binding, with any capital deployment decisions requiring additional board review and approval. The company has not committed to entering any of these focus areas.
"Space exploration and development, artificial intelligence, brain-computer interfaces, and advanced semiconductor manufacturing are, in our view, becoming increasingly important strategic and economic priorities," said Shi Qiu, chief executive officer.
Within the brain-computer interface area, the company plans to explore non-invasive neural-interface concepts using AI-based methods to reconstruct neural signals from surface-level recordings. These approaches aim to enable communication through wearable rather than surgically implanted devices.
Chaince Digital operates in tokenization, regulated brokerage, and AI infrastructure through subsidiaries including Chaince Securities, a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. As of December 31, 2025, more than 100 institutional holders reported positions in the company based on Form 13F filings.
