The platform allows users to discover, adapt, and refine content using embedded AI capabilities while maintaining royalty payments to original contributors.

The platform integrates premium human-created content with AI-powered image and video generation tools. Users can transform existing assets using what the company calls Model Match technology, which automatically connects user prompts with appropriate AI models for specific creative tasks.

Key features include conversational AI search capabilities, deeper integrations with AI workflows including a ChatGPT app, and workflow tools for content reference and visual consistency. The platform provides commercial licensing and indemnification for AI-generated content backed by human review.

The announcement reflects Shutterstock's expansion beyond its traditional stock content library into AI-powered creative tools. The company also operates a Data Licensing & AI Services division that provides training data and model evaluation services to technology companies developing AI systems.

The platform aims to address businesses seeking to integrate AI into creative workflows while maintaining commercial viability and creative control over their content production processes.
