Weave joins athenahealth marketplace to expand healthcare integrations
Weave (NYSE: WEAV) announced it has joined athenahealth's Marketplace program, integrating its patient engagement platform with athenahealth's athenaOne system. The integration connects practice operations and patient engagement tools for healthcare providers.
The integrated application addresses workflow issues in medical practices through automated features. When patient calls go unanswered, Weave sends follow-up text messages automatically. The system sends appointment confirmations and reminders via text and email without staff intervention. Staff can send and receive text messages directly from the practice's business number, and patients receive multiple payment options including text-to-pay links and card-on-file systems connected to athenaOne billing records.
"Practices already leveraging the powerful EHR functionality of athenaOne can now use Weave to automate repetitive but important daily tasks, capture more opportunities, and drive sustainable growth with a fully integrated solution," said Scott Chandler, VP of Strategic Partnerships at Weave.
The athenahealth Marketplace serves more than 160,000 providers on the athenaOne network. The platform includes over 500 solutions across more than 60 medical specialties integrated with athenaOne. Nearly 75% of athenahealth customers use Marketplace partner solutions according to the company.
Weave provides AI-powered patient engagement and payments services to healthcare practices. The company serves over 40,000 customer locations and received a 2026 Best Software Awards recognition from G2 for healthcare software products.
The information is based on a press release statement from Weave.
