FreeCast expands DIRECTV partnership across platform services

June 11, 2026 6:01 AM

FreeCast Inc. (NASDAQ: CAST) announced an expansion of its relationship with DIRECTV, allowing the satellite television service to be offered through the company's direct-to-consumer residential programs and platform-as-a-service partner network.

The streaming technology company said the expanded partnership builds on its existing authorization to market DIRECTV services to residential and multifamily communities. The arrangement now extends to FreeCast's broader platform serving telecommunications providers, broadband operators, wireless carriers, property owners, hospitality organizations, municipalities, broadcasters and enterprise partners.

DIRECTV streaming services no longer require a satellite dish installation and are available through FreeCast's current sales and distribution channels. The company stated this represents an immediate recurring-revenue opportunity, as eligible partners can integrate DIRECTV offerings into their branded streaming, broadband, wireless, community, hospitality and residential solutions.

"Consumers increasingly want a single destination for live television, premium streaming services, local programming, sports, news, and on-demand entertainment," said William Mobley, chief executive officer of FreeCast. "DIRECTV is one of the most recognized entertainment brands in America, and integrating its services throughout the FreeCast ecosystem expands both the value we deliver to partners and the monetization opportunities available across our platform."

FreeCast's platform-as-a-service technology enables organizations to launch branded streaming experiences that include live television, premium streaming services, local content, advertising and subscriber management tools. The company said adding DIRECTV enhances its ability to support partners seeking to bundle entertainment services with other offerings.

The Orlando, Florida-based company provides streaming media aggregation and digital distribution technologies to help organizations create unified content discovery and subscription management platforms across connected devices.
