June 11, 2026 5:59 AM

Omdia, part of TechTarget Inc. (NASDAQ: TTGT), appointed Theresa Lanowitz as Principal Analyst for vulnerability and risk management within its cybersecurity research practice.

Lanowitz joins from LevelBlue, AT&T's cybersecurity spinoff, where she served as Chief Evangelist leading strategic marketing and industry outreach. She previously spent seven years at Gartner researching application quality and security, and founded independent analyst firm Voke, which she led for nearly 14 years.

At Omdia, Lanowitz will research how organizations identify, prioritize, and address security risks while adopting new technologies. Her work will examine tools, practices, and market developments in vulnerability and risk management strategies.

"Theresa brings a rare combination of practitioner, analyst, and product experience to cybersecurity research," said Clint Wheelock, Omdia's VP of Go-to-Market Insights and Advisory. "Vulnerability and risk management have become increasingly complex as organizations adopt new technologies at speed, while still needing to make clear decisions about what to fix first."

Earlier in her career, Lanowitz worked as a product manager at Borland, launching the Java development platform JBuilder, and led strategic marketing for Jini at Sun Microsystems, a distributed computing technology.

"Managing and understanding cyber risk is a cornerstone of cyber resilience," Lanowitz said. "Aligning cybersecurity with business initiatives enables organizations to make informed decisions that drive innovation, improve outcomes, and create competitive advantage."

Lanowitz holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
