Seven Hills Realty Trust (NASDAQ: SEVN) announced that its board of trustees elected Mark A. Talley as an independent trustee, effective immediately. Talley fills the vacancy created by Jeffrey P. Somers' resignation and will serve the remainder of Somers' term.

Talley founded Griswold Realty Advisors, LLC in 2012 and served as a principal and founding partner of Greenwood Commercial Real Estate from 2021 to 2023, providing acquisition, disposition and leasing services. He previously held positions as vice president at Grubb & Ellis and in client relationship roles at Jones Lang LaSalle.

"We thank Jeff Somers for his service to SEVN and are pleased to welcome Mark to our Board as an Independent Trustee," said Adam Portnoy, chair of the company's board of trustees. "We believe his extensive experience in commercial real estate and advisory services will be a valuable asset to our Board and look forward to his contributions."

At the company's annual meeting of shareholders held June 9, shareholders re-elected Ann M. Danner and William A. Lamkin as independent trustees and Matthew P. Jordan as a managing trustee, each to serve three-year terms. The company's seven-member board comprises 71% independent trustees.
