ASML to cut fewer jobs than planned, unions say
Investing.com -- ASML will reduce fewer positions than originally announced, according to Dutch unions following discussions with the chip-equipment maker.
The job cuts are now scheduled to begin in May 2027, ASML spokesperson Monique Mols said. Employees will learn before the end of this month whether their positions will be affected.
Some workers may have their roles modified within the company rather than face redundancy, Mols added.
"We want to see as few people as possible forced to leave," she said.
