Kyndryl launches AI orchestration platform for retail and supply chains
Kyndryl (NYSE: KD) announced the launch of AI Orchestration for Business, a new capability designed to coordinate artificial intelligence agents across enterprise functions. The platform targets retail, consumer packaged goods, travel and transportation industries.
The system connects AI agents across supply chains, commerce, finance, IT and customer operations to enable coordination and execution at scale. According to the company, the platform provides role-based decision making and real-time action capabilities.
"Enterprises are moving fast to embrace AI, but most are stuck in isolated pilots that don't change or improve their daily operations," said Rachel Calhoun, Vice President and Global Retail, CPG, and Travel and Transportation Leader at Kyndryl.
The platform supports several workflow applications including agentic commerce that connects supply chain and pricing systems, proactive supply chain disruption management that identifies risks in real time, and role-based operational orchestration that delivers alerts to specific teams such as demand planners and supply chain leaders.
The system incorporates policy-driven execution using what the company calls "policy as code" technology, embedding operational and regulatory rules into agent workflows. It also provides coordinated commerce and customer experience capabilities that align supply, inventory, pricing and fulfillment decisions.
Kyndryl Consult will help customers design and deploy the AI Orchestration platform. The capability operates across cloud and on-premises environments and integrates with existing enterprise platforms. The system is designed to work with various large language models and can function with or without managed services tools.
The announcement was made through a company press release. Kyndryl describes itself as a provider of mission-critical enterprise technology services, serving customers in more than 60 countries.
