Cellebrite launches Genesis AI tool for digital investigations

June 10, 2026 8:31 AM

Cellebrite DI Ltd. (NASDAQ: CLBT) announced the general availability of Genesis, an AI-powered digital investigation tool designed to analyze evidence from multiple sources. The company stated the technology can reduce investigation workloads from weeks to minutes.

Genesis analyzes more than 35 evidence formats including call detail records, warrant returns, documents, messages, images, video and audio files. The tool has been tested by more than 800 users across 300 national, state and local agencies since March 2026, according to the company.

The general availability version includes new features developed based on customer feedback. These include warrant-bound search capabilities that limit AI analysis to parameters specified in search warrants, location intelligence with map views, upgraded media analysis with transcription and translation of approximately 120 languages, and improved accuracy in AI responses.

"Genesis compressed months of analytical work into a single hour for our team," said Lt. Jim Hill, Lab Director at Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. Lt. Jerod K. Abshire of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office reported that Genesis identified 16 previously unidentified victims in a grooming case within 15 minutes, compared to an estimated two weeks for manual review.

The FBI's 2025 Internet Crime Report indicated Americans lost nearly $21 billion to cyber-enabled crime, with AI-enabled scams and fraud accounting for nearly $900 million in reported losses. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received 21.5 million CyberTips and reported a 158% increase in online enticement reports.

Genesis is currently available to state and local government customers in North America, with international and private sector availability planned to expand through 2026. The company stated that customer data remains private and isolated, with no data retained or used for model training.
