Sprouts partners with Buddy Brew Coffee for 10 Florida cafes
Sprouts Farmers Market (NASDAQ: SFM) announced a partnership with Tampa-based Buddy Brew Coffee to open 10 cafes inside select Sprouts stores across Tampa Bay and Southwest Florida this summer.
The cafes will launch in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Sarasota counties, expanding Sprouts' in-store coffee program. The partnership will more than double Buddy Brew's total cafe footprint and introduces the brand to Pinellas and Pasco counties for the first time.
Each cafe will offer Buddy Brew's espresso drinks, cold brew, specialty beverages and breakfast items, including limited-edition selections available exclusively at Sprouts locations. The first cafe opens June 17 at the Sprouts Tampa-Westchase location with $3 drinks all day and gift bags for the first 25 customers.
"At Sprouts, we're always looking for thoughtful ways to enhance the in-store experience while supporting local partners that share our values," said Nick Konat, president and chief operating officer of Sprouts.
Founded in 2010, Buddy Brew Coffee sources specialty beans from growers worldwide and roasts them locally in Tampa. The company operates eight cafes across Florida and distributes nationwide.
"This partnership represents a meaningful evolution for Buddy Brew," said Dave Ward, CEO and co-founder of Buddy Brew Coffee. "Working with Sprouts allows us to thoughtfully expand our footprint, reach new communities, and grow alongside a retailer that shares our commitment to quality and care."
The 10 locations include stores in Tampa, Palm Harbor, Riverview, Trinity, Seminole, Valrico and Sarasota. The partnership builds on Sprouts' previous collaborations with local coffee roasters Klatch Coffee in Southern California and PRESS Coffee in Arizona.
