June 10, 2026 6:34 AM

Trane Technologies (NYSE: TT) announced the appointment of Donny Simmons as Chief Operating Officer, effective July 1, 2026. Simmons will report to Chair and CEO Dave Regnery and oversee the company's regional business units and operations.

In his new role, Simmons will be responsible for driving business and operational alignment and accelerating execution of the company's growth strategy. The appointment comes as Trane Technologies has nearly doubled its annual revenue since launching as a climate innovation company in 2020.

Simmons brings 25 years of experience with the company to the position. He most recently served as Group President of the Americas region, where he oversaw commercial and residential HVAC, transport refrigeration and life science solutions.

Since joining Trane Technologies in 2001, Simmons has led several of the company's businesses, including Commercial HVAC North America and EMEA, as well as global industrial businesses. His experience spans general management, sales, manufacturing and finance roles.

"By bringing our regional businesses and operations together under his leadership, we will foster deeper collaboration, strengthen our Business Operating System and accelerate execution of our strategy," said Dave Regnery, Chair and CEO of Trane Technologies.

The company stated that the appointment aligns its leadership structure with increased scale and expanding market opportunities. Trane Technologies operates through its Trane and Thermo King brands, providing climate solutions to buildings, homes and transportation sectors.
