Hydro One names Megan Telford as president and CEO

Hydro One Limited (TSX: H) appointed Megan Telford as president and CEO, effective June 9, 2026, following the retirement of David Lebeter. Telford was elected to the board of directors at the company's annual shareholder meeting.

The appointment was announced during Hydro One's annual meeting, where shareholders voted on director elections. A total of 505,469,897 shares, representing 84.23% of the company's outstanding common shares, participated in the voting process.

Telford received 99.97% of votes cast in favor of her election as director. Other directors elected include Perrin Beatty, David Hay, Debbie Hutton, Stacey Mowbray, Mark Podlasly, Michael Rencheck, Melissa Sonberg, Brian Vaasjo, and Susan Wolburgh Jenah, all receiving approval rates above 97%.

"On behalf of the Board, I am pleased to welcome Megan Telford as she steps into the role of President and CEO today," said Melissa Sonberg, chair of the board.

The company also acknowledged the departure of directors Helga Reidel and Mitch Panciuk, thanking them for their service to the organization.

Hydro One operates as Ontario's largest electricity transmission and distribution provider, serving 1.5 million customers with $39.7 billion in assets as of December 31, 2025. The company reported annual revenues of $9 billion in 2025 and employs 9,600 people.
