Xos receives $3 million order for 12 mobile charging units
Xos, Inc. (NASDAQ: XOS) announced it secured a $3 million purchase order for 12 Xos Hub mobile energy storage and charging systems from an autonomous fleet operator. The order will support the customer's expansion of autonomous operations across North America and Europe.
The mobile charging units deploy without requiring permanent utility upgrades or fixed infrastructure installations. Each Xos Hub provides high-capacity DC fast charging and can be operational within days of deployment, according to the company.
This represents a follow-on order from an existing customer, building on Xos's deliveries into European markets earlier this year. The autonomous fleet operator previously purchased Xos Hub units and is expanding its charging capacity across multiple operating regions.
"This order is proof of what the Xos Hub was built to do, put reliable power exactly where fleets need it, the moment they need it," said Dakota Semler, Chief Executive Officer of Xos. "When one of the most demanding fleets in the world chooses Xos to electrify its expansion across two continents, it validates the strength of our product."
Xos cited Fortune Business Insights data projecting the global mobile storage market will grow from $58 billion in 2025 to $156 billion by 2032. The company manufactures fully electric commercial vehicles and mobile charging solutions for last-mile and return-to-base fleet operations.
The order allows the autonomous fleet operator to scale charging infrastructure independently of utility interconnection timelines as it expands into new markets. Xos expects continued demand for additional Hub units as the customer launches services in new cities and regions.
