Zscaler launches AI security tools for autonomous agents

June 9, 2026 11:00 AM

Zscaler Inc. (NASDAQ: ZS) announced new cybersecurity products designed to protect AI agents and autonomous systems at its Zenith Live 2026 conference. The company introduced two primary solutions: Zscaler AI Broker and Zscaler Endpoint AI Security.

The AI Broker product includes an Agent Registry that helps organizations control what each AI agent can access and applies access controls across enterprise AI agents. The Endpoint AI Security solution detects AI-related threats on employee devices, including risks in browsers, plugins, and local AI tools.

Zscaler also unveiled the AI Access Graph, which maps connections between identities, applications, and data sources across enterprises. This technology stems from the company's acquisition of Symmetry Systems and enables organizations to track data usage and enforce policies in real-time.

The company enhanced its existing AI Protect platform, which launched in January 2026, with new capabilities across three areas: AI Asset Management, Secure Access to AI, and Secure AI Infrastructure and Apps. The updates include discovery of embedded AI in software applications, prompt extraction across more than 250 AI applications, and AI red teaming for servers.

"Traditional security was never designed for millions of autonomous agents that act and reach sensitive data at machine speed," said Jay Chaudhry, Chairman and CEO of Zscaler.

The announcement addresses security challenges posed by AI agents that operate autonomously, create temporary identities, and access data at speeds that traditional security tools cannot monitor effectively. These agents can spawn sub-agents and exercise permissions in ways that existing security infrastructure was not designed to handle.
