Maison Solutions partners with SupplyAi and MiniMax on AI food supply chain
Maison Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: MSS) announced a strategic collaboration with SupplyAi and MiniMax to explore artificial intelligence solutions for North American food retail and supply chain operations.
The specialty Asian grocery retailer will work with SupplyAi, an AI product company focused on food supply chains, and MiniMax, an artificial intelligence company with multimodal capabilities, to develop AI-native tools for workflow automation and operational visibility.
The collaboration aims to address ordering, procurement, sales operations and inventory workflows through voice, image, text and structured business data integration. The partnership will explore AI applications for inventory management, logistics, customer service and margin analysis.
Under the non-binding framework, Maison Solutions will provide business resources and market access, while SupplyAi will handle product development and commercialization planning. MiniMax will contribute AI model capabilities and technical infrastructure.
"We believe artificial intelligence can become an important tool for improving efficiency, visibility, and decision-making across the food supply chain," said John Xu, Chief Executive Officer of Maison Solutions.
The companies plan to assess potential applications including robotics, computer vision, sensor-based data collection and physical automation for warehouse operations and inventory monitoring. They will also evaluate pilot programs and commercial deployment opportunities.
Maison Solutions operates seven Asian supermarkets in California and Arizona under the HK Good Fortune and Lee Lee International brands. The company has been acquiring equity interests in traditional Asian supermarkets since its formation in 2019.
The collaboration framework does not create binding commitments for funding, services or commercial arrangements. Any definitive projects would require separate written agreements between the parties.
