Datadog launches 100+ new AI and security capabilities
Datadog Inc. (NASDAQ: DDOG) announced the launch of over 100 new capabilities at its annual DASH event, focusing on AI-powered automation and security features for observability and operations management.
The company expanded its Bits AI suite to include autonomous detection, investigation, and remediation capabilities across infrastructure and development workflows. The AI system can now automatically scan infrastructure, identify issues, recommend fixes, and implement solutions using predefined guardrails.
"AI has created new operational challenges where code development has outpaced human-scale management and malicious actors now use AI to attack critical systems," said Olivier Pomel, co-founder and CEO at Datadog.
Key product releases include AI Guard, a security feature designed to detect and block attacks on AI agents through behavioral anomaly analysis. The company also introduced Bring Your Own Cloud, which allows customers to deploy Datadog's platform within their own cloud environments for data processing and storage.
Datadog launched Bits Agent Builder, enabling teams to create custom AI agents within the platform, and Agent Console for centralized monitoring of AI development tools including Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot.
The company stated it invests approximately 30% of revenue into research and development. Alexis Lê-Quôc, co-founder and CTO, said the new capabilities aim to provide visibility for detecting and resolving operational issues across development and production environments.
The announcements were made during the company's DASH conference, where Datadog typically unveils new features and integrations for its observability and security platform.
